April 1, 2008 - At the annual coach’s dinner, The Lower Merion Little League announced the recipients of two prestigious awards. Steve Rosenberg was recognized with the Brian Rosenthal award for his continued dedication and service to the LMLL. The Rosenthal Award recognizes an individual that has significantly contributed to the growth and development of the Lower Merion Little League.
Matt Bernstein, a senior at Friends Central was named as the LM Scholarship Award winner. This award acknowledges a former LM Little Leaguer who has continued to play baseball and has also made a significant contribution to the Lower Merion community. Matt, a tri-captain for Friends Central baseball team has developed a soccer camp for local players in honor of his coach who recently lost his son. Matt will be attending the University of Pennsylvania in the fall.
